We are excited to announce that WVAIA will be offering an Advanced Wilderness First Aid (AWFA) course this fall.
Dates: Saturday, November 1 & Sunday, November 2, 2025
Location: Waterville Valley Recreation Center, 11 Noon Peak Road, Waterville Valley, NH
This two-day, 16-hour course will be taught by SOLO Schools and is open only to those who hold a current Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certificate.
What You’ll Learn
The AWFA course builds on WFA fundamentals and covers:
Advanced trauma management skills
Environmental emergencies
Medical emergencies
Additional Details
Eligibility: Ages 14+
Format: Rain or shine, in-person instruction
Capacity: Space is limited – registration is first come, first served
Cost & Refund Policy
Tuition: $240 per person
WVAIA Member Benefit: Members will receive a $25 credit toward their next renewal
Refunds: Cancellations must be submitted by email to wvaiatrails@gmail.com by October 22, 2025 (10 days prior) to receive a full refund. Unfortunately, no refunds can be issued for cancellations made within 10 days of the course.
