Whether you are interested in hiking, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing or a relaxing game of croquet; or, perhaps you want to take a wilderness first aid course, or volunteer to help with some trail work? If any of these activities appeals to you, the WVAIA programming, born out of almost 125 years of history, gives you the option of choosing.

All programming, except for the wilderness first aid course, is organized and directed by volunteers and free of charge to WVAIA members. If you are not a member, we encourage you to participate and ask that you give a small donation to help us cover our costs.

For more information on each of the activities, click on one of the photos below. You will find more information about that type of activity, as well as listings of upcoming and past activities. In addition, members receive notifications of upcoming activities via email. By looking at the trip reports that are posted for many of the past activities, you can get a better insight into what to expect.

We request that if you want to join us in one of the scheduled activities, that you RSVP via the convenient link we provide in the activity listings. This allows us to determine whether we have the minimum number of people that we need in order to procede with the activity, and also to notify you via email if there are any changes in the plans for that activity.
